We’re excited to offer a special Do It Yourself Bun Workshop led by our dance school Executive Director Erica Ueberroth. This hands-on session will teach dancers age 10 and older how to style their own ballet bun for classes and performances. This is a great way to build independence and confidence.

If you’re a parent of a dancer younger than 10 and you’d like to learn how to do the ballet bun, you can join this workshop too, just bring your little dance and the list of supplies below

Workshop Details

Date: Saturday, August 9
Time: 9:30-10:30am
Location: Civic Dance Center
Cost: $10 per dancer – please bring cash to pay at the door. Funds raised will benefit Bakersfield City Ballet, our city’s preprofessional ballet company.

What to bring:

• U-shaped bobby pins
• Hair net
• Hair tie
• Brush
• Fine-tooth comb
• Spray bottle with water
• Hair wax, paste, styling cream, or gel
• Personal mirror
