Dear Dancers and Parents,

We’d like to send a friendly reminder of a few important class expectations to help our dancers arrive prepared, comfortable, and ready to learn!

BALLET DRESS CODE
Female students should wear solid leotards with ballet pink tights and ballet shoes, or tights and shoes in a color that best matches the dancer’s skin tone.

Male students may wear a white or black short-sleeved shirt, black tights or biker shorts, and white or black ballet shoes, with color-matching ankle socks if needed.

JAZZ, MODERN, MUSICAL THEATER & TAP
Students may wear fitted athletic leggings or convertible tights with fitted athletic shirts or tank tops. Students must always wear the appropriate shoes specific to the class they are attending.

PUNCTUALITY
Please make every effort to arrive on time for your dancer’s scheduled class. Students who arrive more than 10 minutes late will not be allowed to participate in class. Arriving late disrupts instruction and prevents dancers from receiving the full lesson their teacher has prepared, including new techniques and choreography.  Make sure that dancers have used the restroom before class so they don’t need to leave the room during class.

HAIR
Hair should always be pulled away from the face and secured in a style appropriate for the class.

  • Ballet: A ballet bun is always required for all ballet classes. This keeps hair securely off the face and helps dancers remain focused and free from distractions.
  • Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern & Musical Theater: A ponytail or similar secure hairstyle is appropriate.

Thank you for helping us maintain these expectations and for supporting our dancers in being prepared and ready to learn. We truly appreciate your cooperation!
