Dear Civic Dance Center Families,

We are currently seeking gift card donations for our annual Nutcracker Gift Card Tree!

Each year, our beautifully decorated tree is filled with gift cards from local businesses and generous families like yours. Tickets will be sold for a chance to win gift cards during our 12 Days of Nutcracker Opportunity Drawing, with the grand prize being this year’s Candy Cane-themed tree, professionally decorated and valued at over $500!

We’re asking for gift cards valued at $20 or higher, though any amount is sincerely appreciated. You may also contribute conveniently through Zelle to Bakersfield City Ballet.

To send a Zell contribution:

1. Open your banking app and select Zelle.
2. Enter (661)345-5012 as the recipient.
3. Include “Nutcracker Orchestra Fund: Gift Card Tree” in the note or memo line.

Funds received via Zelle will be used by the Board to purchase gift cards for the tree. Any unused funds will go directly toward supporting our live Nutcracker Orchestra.

If you’d like to make it extra special, gather a group of friends–or even your dancer’s Nutcracker scene–and create a themed donation together!

We’re thrilled to share that we’ve already raised nearly 60% of our goal for this year’s live orchestra–but we still need our community’s help to reach the finish line. Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to making the magic of live music possible for our dancers and audiences.

All proceeds from this fundraiser directly support the live orchestra that brings our Nutcracker to life each December, helping us continue this beloved holiday tradition for our dancers and the Bakersfield community.

You don’t have to be performing in the show to be part of the fun–there are so many ways to contribute and celebrate the season! When we all support the arts, the entire Bakersfield community thrives.
